1. How old are you and where are from?
I was born in 1988 in Mariupol, Ukraine and I’m currently living in Odessa.
2. Is Russian your native language?
My native languages are Russian and Ukrainian, I got Master’s Degree in Russian and English
3. Do you have any teaching diploma? If yes, when did you get it and what is it?
As I mentioned earlier, I have two university diplomas..
4. When did you start teaching and why?
First I started teaching English and it was by chance – when I was a first year student my neighbors asked me to help their daughter with her English and I agreed, in a month I had 15 individual students and realized that I had made a right choice entering university of humanities))
5. How many students have you taught in general?
Ok, now you’ve stressed me out with counting)). I have taught languages for 8 years so far, mostly individually, so I don’t find it possible to count. It’s not that I don’t like my students, each of them is my goal, my award, my pride and sometimes, if I am lucky enough, my friend. Yet I will not invent huge numbers – I have no idea of how many students I have taught.
6. What technics, methods, material do you use in your classes?
I mostly use communicative method of teaching as I find it the most effective one. Yet ever student is unique, so sometimes I need to combine communicative approach with declarative or even traditional one (which happens quite seldom though). The choice of books depends on age, goals and studying abilities of a student.
7.Tell as much as you can about your experience.
I have taught both individually and in groups, in online companies, language schools and for corporate clients. I can say that every company has given me priceless experience and if I could start my career over, I wouldn’t have changed anything, because thanks to my experience I can draw up a program tailored to every student’s needs if not perfectly, yet in a high quality manner.
